b. 1999, Ontario, Canada

MA Fine Art Painting, University of the Arts London, UK 2023

BFA Queen's University, CA 2020

Breanna’s work is rooted in the exploration of realism and her interest in rendering the human figure with a likeness to nature. Heavily informed by European historical painting, she merges the melodrama of the Italian Baroque with the Pre-Raphaelite sense of ethereality to create compositions that blur the line between reality and a dreamlike state. Addressing concepts such as empathy, liminality and the passage of time, she describes the feeling of perpetual anxiety through overwhelmingly busy compositions that see her subjects lost within intricate, layered patterns.

Breanna graduated with distinction from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2020. In the following years she pursued a Masters of Fine Art in Painting at the University of the Arts London in 2023, where she was awarded the International Postgraduate Scholarship. While living in the UK she was selected to participate in the London Art Biennale where she won the Chianciano Museum Award. Her painting will be exhibited in the Chianciano Biennale in Tuscany in the summer of 2024.

Breanna has been exhibiting her paintings for 7 years, participating in group shows in Canada and internationally. Her recent work has gained recognition through awards, nominations and becoming the acquisitions of private collectors.
